The wine has an intense rich garnet colour. Beautiful intense aromas of cassis, blackberries and blueberries are evident at first. There are underlying notes of cedar, tobacco leaf and a hint of violets on the nose.
The palate is full and rich with heady flavours of cloves and vanilla spice, ripe black, blue and bramble fruit notes. The mid-palate is rich and brooding with a great silky texture leading to firm ripe structured tannins and a long finish and a beautiful acidity to balance the ripe richness of the wine.
Best drinking 2028 to 2035.
