This noble grape is fundamental in crafting ALL our award-winning wines. The grapes are sourced from the deep gravelly slopes of the Helderberg in Stellenbosch. These soils are perfectly suited for limiting vegetative vigour and channeling the vine’s water and nutrient resources towards the development of small, concentrated berries. Our long, warm summer days and cool maritime breezes allow for slow phenolic ripening of the berries - ensuring intense flavour and ripe silky tannins.
